Community Outreach
Know Your Ride joined Influence the Choice at the Sammamish Farmers Market to connect with families, students, and community members around e-bike safety, youth well-being, and responsible riding.
When youth safety, trusted adults, and community education come together, prevention becomes stronger.

On July 8, 2026, Know Your Ride joined Influence the Choice at the Sammamish Farmers Market at Sammamish Commons for community outreach focused on safer riding, youth well-being, and responsible choices.
Know Your Ride shared booth space with Influence the Choice and connected with families and community members about e-bike safety information, youth well-being, and the choices riders make before and during a ride.
The outreach kept prevention and safer mobility in the same conversation. Know Your Ride shared resources, listened to community questions, and highlighted how responsible decision-making can shape what happens on the road, trail, sidewalk, or shared path.
This Community Spotlight is an educational recap of that outreach moment. It is not legal advice, an official policy statement, an endorsement claim, or a substitute for checking current rules with official sources.
When youth safety, trusted adults, and community education come together, prevention becomes stronger.
What stood out
Community Connections
Families, students, and neighbors stopped to ask questions about e-bikes, safety, and local riding concerns.
Youth Prevention in Practice
The outreach connected e-bike awareness with decision-making, responsibility, peer influence, and trusted-adult conversations.
Shared Community Purpose
The event showed how community organizations and local outreach can contribute to safer, healthier, and more informed communities.
What This Moment Showed
Safer riding conversations do not have to happen only after a concern, complaint, or close call. They can happen at a farmers market, at a school table, during a community event, or anywhere families and students are already gathered.
When prevention and transportation safety come together, the message becomes stronger: understand the choice before the moment, understand the ride before the risk, and help young people build independence with awareness.
